Does the Bible tell us how that which God created without sin and pronounced ‘very good’ become sinful and was denounced by Him as ‘no-good’??

The only sin that Adam could commit was to transgress God’s Divine law, to will to disobey the clearly revealed will of God. As long as Adam continued to will to live his whole life within the circle of God’s revealed will, he could remain without sin only as he exercised his will in perpetual submission to the higher will of God.

The passage in Ezekial, reveals the truth regarding the person and position of Satan originally. But with all Satan’s perfection and power, he was still a created being and he must be subservient to his creator and remain dependent and obedient.

The sin that began in the holy mountain of God was carried into the Garden of Eden. Satan’s method of approach was very cunning and subtle. Satan sought to discredit God in man’s sight by creating within them discontent with their circumstances and by holding before them a false Utopia (vision), thus hoping to instigate a revolt against God.

So an indirect appeal was made to the Soul through the senses. Satan gained his entrance to the innermost being of Eve through the body (eyes). Satan had appealed to the whole man from body through soul to spirit.

The human spirit is the seat of God- consciousness and that in God’s first man there was direct a vital relationship between the divine spirit of God and the human spirit of Adam. God’s first man responded to God in communion and co-operation.

Romans 5:12,13 says, “ Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned- for before the law was given, sin was in the world. But sin is not taken into account when there is no law.”

It is important to note that God does not cause sin. (James 1:13). Responsibility for sin is placed squarely at the door of man himself.

Man has certain desires: – these, at root, are legitimate. In many cases their satisfaction is indispensable to the survival of the individual or the race.

Man’s capabilities:- Man is able to choose among alternatives, these alternatives may include options which are not immediately present. Man alone of all the creatures is capable of transcending his location in time and space. Through anticipation he is able to construct scenarios regarding the future and choose among them.

Concerning man, he was a creature created in the image of the creator. God is the source of holiness and sin cannot stand this source of holiness. Holiness was reflected in man and the holiness does not originate from man. So there is always a possibility of accessibility to fall.

God gave choice to man. If man being a holy creature was controlled by God, then there is no life of freedom, we would be bonded without challenges. So giving choice to man is gracious act of God!

But the holy creature (man) failed to take that choice and did not use his intelligence to think of the consequence. The consequence is clear “The Holy Creature Fell”!
